Thin Image Upload 2.0 released.

Thin File Team  January 9, 2009 @ 7:12 am

Since the launch of Thin Image Upload, thousands of companies have used the software for its convenience, user-friendly interface and time saving benefits. We have just released a new version of the software, with a watermark feature that now allows images to be watermarked before they are uploaded, saving webmasters, developers and image hosting companies time, money and server resources.

Thin Image Upload 2.0, an innovative file upload solution designed for webmasters, web developers and image hosting services is a user-friendly multiple file uploader that reduces bandwidth demand on servers by enabling client-side capabilities, such as the ability to resize images. The software allows users to drag, drop and upload thousands of images in a single transfer, and with its new watermark feature, images can be watermarked with text or custom graphics, such as a company logo prior to uploading. The new feature further reduces the amount of memory and processing power required on the server side.

In previous versions of the software, settings had to be placed in a configuration file. The latest version now allows the settings to be directly embedded into the web page that holds the Thin Image Upload applet. Additional features and benefits now available with Thin Image Upload 2.0 also include a new progress monitor, an easier applet configuration, and interrupted uploads can now be resumed.

Thin Image Upload 2.0 is compatible with all popular browsers, including Microsoft Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Safari and Opera on Windows (including Vista), Linux and OS X. It is also compatible with a wide range of server-side scripting languages, and popular server-side technologies such as PHP, Java, Perl and .NET.
