Thin FTP Applet 1.04

Thin File Team  December 6, 2006 @ 2:44 pm

By it’s appearance the Thin FTP client looks similar to the File Transfer Program that sits on your desktop. But appearances are deceptive, it is an applet that is designed to be integrated into web applications. The goal is to provide users of such web application a convenient and familiar interface for file management.

The Thin FTP applet is a feature rich software and includes many of the functionality you find in your desktop FTP client. You can upload and download entire directories trees in a single click and other features that expect to find in a File Transfer Program such as directory management, changing file permissions etc are all included.

In this new version we make two improvements, the first being improved compatibility with FTP servers on OS X and Netware as well as pureftpd on Linux. We have made a slight change to the behavior of the professional edition. With the professional edition you can automate the login process. However if the user clicked the disconnect button and then attempted to reconnect, the applet prompted him to enter the password instead of automatically logging in. With this version onwards, the applet will automatically reconnect.

As with all our products, a free download is available. With the FTP applet, the free version is completely unrestricted and you can use it for non commercial purposes. When you download this free version you will find a coupon code that would entitle you to a 25% discount if you place your order before the 31st of December.
