Expired certificates

Thin File Team  September 6, 2006 @ 11:38 am

All our applets are digitally signed with a certificate issued by thawte. The current certificate has just expired and due to technical problem at Thawte a new certificate has not yet been issued. We are working closely with the Thawte staff to obtain the new certificate as soon as possible.

Once the new digital certificate is issued, all the downloads will be replaced with a new set that has been signed with it. We will be providing free updates for all valid license holders of our products. You can continue to use the applets inspite certificate being expired. It has no effect on their functionality.

In the meantime, if you would like to sign the applet with your own code signing certificate, please follow these steps:

1) Visit java.sun.com and download and install the Java Development (free)

2) Open the command prompt application or console on your computer.

3) Generate yuor certificate by typing in the following command.

keytool -genkey -alias myname

Use your own first name in place of myname
4) Sign the applet with your newly generated certificate.

jarsigner ThinUpload.jar myname
