Version 1.03 of Thin Image Upload, the multiple drag and drop image uploader has been released. Thin Image Upload is an applet that makes it really easy for your site’s visitor to send their images to your web server. Images can be resized at the client side and unwanted file types can be filtered off.

The new release aims to fix a minor bug and makes the FTP functionality of the product equivalent to Thin FTP Upload. The bug fix involves the client side filtering. All members of the Thin File Upload family allow filtering by file size, Thin Image Upload also allows files to be filtered out by their content type. When the applet is configured to accept files of certain types, it can also be configured to reject or ignore those unwanted files. This action is controlled by the filter_action setting. It was reported that in certain situations the setting failed to take effect.

When Thin FTP Upload 1.02 was released, it inclued a minor change the way in which trailing slashes in FTP URLs are handled. Since Thin Image Upload supports file transfers using both HTTP and FTP, this change as incorporated into Thin Image Upload as well.
