Thin FTP Upload 1.02
Do you want to add FTP functionality to your website? All you need to do is to copy the contents of the web/ folder from Thin FTP Upload into your webserver. FTP Upload doesn’t get any easier than this.
Thin FTP Upload is designed to run out of the box with out any configuration changes. The applet allows a visitor to your site to initiate an upload by just dragging and dropping files on their browser. The login can be automated to make things even easier.
The new version of the applet aims for improved compatibility with a wider range of FTP servers. Specially those servers deployed on a windows installation. The applet loading mechanism has also been changed for compatibility with recent changes to the IE browser. On a more technical note: the new version includes a subtle change in the way that the applet handles the trailing slash in an FTP url (when the automatic login feature is in use). Only a very tiny percentage of website owners who use Thin FTP Upload will be effected by this change for which the details follow;
The change to the trailing slash handling comes into effect only if the url does not contain any path information. Earlier the applet would treat ftp://upload.thinfile.com/ and ftp://upload.thinfile.com as equal. With the previous version both urls would cause the applet to execute the ‘cwd /’ command after login. However with version 1.02, if the url does not contain the trailing slash, the applet will not execute the ‘cwd’ command.

[...] When Thin FTP Upload 1.02 was released, it inclued a minor change the way in which trailing slashes in FTP URLs are handled. Since Thin Image Upload supports file transfers using both HTTP and FTP, this change as incorporated into Thin Image Upload as well. « Previous | [...]
