We are happy to announce version 1.02 of Thin Upload, our drag and drop multiple file uploader. At the same time we have released version 1.02 for Thin Image Upload as well. The primary purpose of these releases are to make the applets compatible with changes to Internet Explorer. There are no changes to the functionality of either applet.

When creating a new build for Thin Upload, we have optimized the applet so that it is now 3KB smaller than the previous version. 3KB does not sound significant but the applet was only 50KB to start of with. With applets every Kilobyte does count. Larger applets take significantly longer to load and to start up than smaller applets. This is more noticable especially with older versions of Java.

All our applets are very tightly coded. The most feature rich file uploader in the Thin File Upload family is only 69KB. That means it loads up in a matter of seconds.
