The professional edition of the Thin FTP Client applet has been released close on the heels of the standard edition and just in time for Christmas. In this first release, the professional edition has one crucial difference from the standard edition; It can be configured in such a way that the user can automatically login with out being prompted for a username and a password.

This behavior isn’t altogether new. Thin FTP Upload already has this feature. However as the name suggests, Thin FTP Upload is an uploader, it’s not intended to provide complete file management functionality. The Thin FTP Client on the other hand does include all the features you expect to find in a File Transfer Program.

In the future the gap between the standard and professional edition will widen with many new features planned for inclusion in the road map.
