Thin FTP Upload 1.00 Released

Thin File Team  September 29, 2005 @ 1:53 pm

Do you want to add FTP functionality to your website? All you need to do is to copy the contents of the web/ folder from Thin FTP Upload into your webserver. FTP Upload doesn’t get any easier than this.

Thin FTP Upload is designed to run out of the box with out any configuration changes. A visitor to your site can initiate an upload by just dragging and dropping files on their browser, after the applet has loaded. You can make things even easier by automating the login process.

As with all our products the appearance of the applet can be changed completely by editing the configuration settings so that the welcome message points to a page on your own website. However unlike other uploaders, with FTP, after the upload completes the applet changes to display the directory listing on the destination folder. Even that can be changed.

The external_redir setting, allows you to specify an alternative page to load with in the applet after upload completes. It also provides a convenient mechanism for you to signal your scripts that an FTP upload has taken place.
